Inside Sales Manager
Location: Valencia, CA
Reports to: Vice President and COO
Overview: Jaco Aerospace, a fast-growing distributor in the aerospace industry, seeks an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and foster a culture of performance, accountability, and growth. The Sales Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the sales department's success by overseeing sales operations, driving new business, managing key accounts, and maintaining strict compliance with company policies and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership:
- Lead, manage, and mentor the sales team to ensure they meet individual and team performance targets.
- Implement strategic initiatives to optimize sales operations and drive revenue growth.
- Foster a culture of communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales department.
- Actively review and analyze team performance, providing coaching and training to improve skills and results.
- Account Management & Customer Relations:
- Ensure the highest level of customer service by building and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts.
- Work closely with the team to resolve customer service issues, track order progress, and ensure timely delivery.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of customer needs and deliver tailored solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Order & Compliance Management:
- Oversee the management of high-value sales orders, ensuring compliance with financial benchmarks. Orders over $5,000 will be reviewed at the Sales Manager level.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, including AS9120 quality standards.
- Work with internal teams, including legal and finance, to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with non-cancelable, non-returnable commitments.
- Team Development & Training:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to recruit, onboard, and train new team members, ensuring they align with Jaco’s values and operational goals.
- Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team on best practices, company processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify skill gaps within the team and provide targeted training to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Sales Process Optimization:
- Continuously monitor sales processes, using feedback from the team to suggest and implement improvements.
- Leverage data analytics to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of sales strategies and adjust as needed to maximize results.
- Promote the use of sales tools and CRM systems to ensure accurate data entry and timely follow-ups on RFQs, orders, and customer interactions.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor team progress and individual contributions.
- Provide regular sales reports to senior leadership, offering insights on team performance, customer trends, and revenue projections.
- Conduct evaluations and provide feedback to the sales team, ensuring a structured approach to performance improvement.
- Customer & Market Expansion:
- Identify new business opportunities and actively work with the sales team to onboard new customers, especially those impacted by CMMC compliance.
- Support the development of strategies to expand market reach, particularly within the aerospace and defense sectors.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in the aerospace or distribution industry.
- Proven track record of leading a sales team and achieving growth targets.
- Strong understanding of AS9120 and other relevant aerospace quality standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor a diverse team.
- Experience with CRM systems, data analytics, and process optimization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
