Job Description:

Zero Gravity Marketing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Paid Media to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, with a focus on paid media strategies. As the Director of Paid Media, you will be responsible for leading a team of Associate Directors and paid media specialists, developing and implementing effective paid media campaigns, and driving continuous improvement in our paid media offerings. In this role, you’ll be reporting to the Vice President of Paid Media and working closely with the Director of Paid Social.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a mid-sized team of Associate Directors and Paid Media Specialists, providing guidance, support and training to ensure high performance and professional development
    • Set clear goals, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative team culture focused on driving results.
    • Provide weekly one on one calls utilizing team member hubs and providing weekly feedback on performance and goal progression.
  • Develop and execute innovative paid media strategies across various platforms, primarily Google Ads and Programmatic Ads, with some Paid Social Advertising
    • An understanding of paid social and how paid social works together with other paid channels in a marketing mix
  • Collaborate with other departments, including creative, analytics, and account management, to develop integrated digital marketing campaigns that meet client objectives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in paid media advertising, and incorporate these insights into our strategies and processes.
  • Drive the development and implementation of processes and workflows to streamline campaign management, optimize performance, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality results.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and provide insights and recommendations to optimize campaign performance and achieve client goals.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing strategic guidance on paid media strategies and tactics.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes in platform algorithms and policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risk for our clients.
  • Serve as subject matter expert and thought leader on paid strategies, how it integrates with an overall campaign as well as staying ahead of leading and new marketing tools, strategies, platform regulations, etc.
  • Create efficient processes and ways of working to bring proficiency and thoroughness to all work
  • Participate in new Client acquisition process


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on paid media advertising.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing paid media strategies that drive results for clients.
  • Agency experience is required, with a strong understanding of the agency environment and client service expectations.
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing and motivating a team, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Deep understanding of paid media platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and programmatic advertising.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize campaign performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and strategies to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in Google Ads and/or other relevant digital marketing certifications is a plus.
