Job Description
Position summary:
The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for producing Gross Margin at or above plan using consultative selling approaches for search, staffing, and consulting services prospects. The Senior Sales Manager will serve as a member of the middle management team and will contribute to the overall growth of the firm.
Key metric:
Gross Margin / Profit: $500k production minimum in 1st year with an estimated $900k GM quota in 2nd year
Essential duties/responsibilities:
- Create sales opportunities through partner networking and prospecting to targeted accounts and search job orders
- Research and contact senior leadership level contacts in finance, payroll, and HR at targeted companies
- Identify and build relationships with targeted prospects
- Develop and maintain partner relationships for lead generation
- Communicate and follow-up with leads and update weekly on sales team call
- Coordinate and transition new business (orders/projects) to Client Relations/Consulting
- Update system and communicate with team on new job orders
- Close proposals and overcoming objections
- Evaluates strategic partnerships
- Keep standardized PPT slides and proposal process (including references and by service line offerings) updated
- Attend networking events
- Build a strong association presence
- Deliver consistent message and pitch
- Support staffing team with match referrals of potential candidates for search, staffing, or consulting roles

Supervisory responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow of direct reports.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Required education and experience:
- 5+ years business to business (B2B) sales experience with demonstrated results
Preferred education and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related industry
