Job Description
We are looking for self-directed Director of Sales.
The role of the Sales Manager is essential to the success of the hotels. That success depends upon the ability of the Sales Manager to interact constructively in community activities, create good positive community relationships and possess the ability to implement productive sales and marketing strategies/techniques that accurately reflect and enhance the hotel image in the community. His/her sales ability must positively affect the growth and ultimately the success of the hotel.
Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience with a proven track record of success
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills to include problem-solving and complaint resolution
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and discretion
- Self-starter with high degree of initiative
- Intermediate word processing and database skills
Primary Responsibility: Achieve or exceed budgeted hotel room revenue for all market segments.
Related Duties & Tasks to Achieve Primary Responsibility:
Conduct prospecting sales calls - average of 30 per week. In-person appointments including site tours Internet research, newspapers, business card drawings, etc.
- Book new business through proactive solicitation.
- Be familiar with competition in the market/competitive set.
- Maintain accurate account files and records of all customer contacts.
- Maintain effective customer trace and file system.
- Prepare weekly sales call reports on all sales activity and submit to general managers and regional manager.
- Coordinate and execute sales blitzes for the hotels as requested by general managers.
- Assist with producing, executing and updating the annual Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management Action Plan.
- Assist in training guest service representatives and property management team on selling skills, sales ambassador program, and other sales-related training.
- Participate and/or attend hospitality and community organizations/events to include the local chamber, CVB, and other community/networking events.
- Assist with ensuring all sales collateral is current, accurate and portrays a professional image for the hotels.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and evidence of self-insurability.
- Respond to additional sales-related needs at the direction of the general managers.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $21.50 per hour
