TriCore Panels Inc. fabricates and installs architectural paneling systems for commercial projects across several markets in the SF Bay Area.

We are seeking a full-time, in-house Lead Estimator to join our team. This position will play a crucial role in preparing conceptual budgetary project costs and detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for exterior materials.

Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities

Project Assessment:

• Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand project requirements specific to architectural paneling.
• Identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities that may impact project costs, focusing on factors relevant to architectural paneling.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the total scope of architectural paneling work required.

Cost Estimation:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for architectural paneling projects, including materials, fabrication, labor, etc.
• Utilize estimating software and tools tailored to architectural paneling to accurately calculate quantities, pricing, and project timelines.

Bid Preparation:

• Develop comprehensive bid proposals for architectural paneling projects, providing detailed breakdowns of costs and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers specialized in architectural paneling to obtain competitive pricing and accurate information.
• Review bid documents from your team to ensure compliance with client requirements and architectural paneling specifications.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of bid documents, correspondence, and project estimates related to architectural paneling.
• To ensure accuracy and efficiency, update estimating databases with relevant pricing information and project data specific to architectural paneling.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in construction estimating software, with a strong understanding of architectural panel systems, materials, and techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and on-screen take-off software.
• 3+ years of experience in AutoCAD, with the ability to draft technical details effectively.

Additional Information:

This is a lead position, and the successful candidate will be heading up the estimating team and reporting to the Director of Sales. Therefore, we are looking for someone with significant experience in both construction cost estimation and drafting.

We are looking to hire immediately, and candidates must reside in the Santa Clara, CA area and have work authorization in the United States.
