Territory Sales and Service Manager
Job Summary: The Agricultural Territory Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies within a designated geographic area to promote and sell agricultural products. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, dealers, and other stakeholders within the agricultural industry. The individual in this position will play a crucial role in achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and contributing to the overall growth of the company.

1) Alberta and Western Saskatchewan
2) US
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy Development:
o Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market penetration goals for both whole goods and partner with our inside parts team for parts sales.
o Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
2. Territory Management:
o Manage and grow a designated geographic territory, ensuring comprehensive coverage and market presence with a robust dealer network.
o Conduct regular assessments of the territory to identify potential customers and market dynamics.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agricultural cooperatives, dealers, and other key stakeholders.
o Provide excellent customer service and support to address inquiries, concerns, and product-related issues.
4. Product Knowledge:
o Stay updated on the features, benefits, and applications of the company’s agricultural products.
o Effectively communicate product information to customers and provide technical support when necessary.
5. Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:
o Conduct product presentations and training sessions for customers and dealership partners.
o Showcase the value proposition of products and address technical inquiries.
o Organize, plan and support focused and successful demonstrations with dealers in their territory.
o Be lead organizer of trade shows, customer training clinics, customer sales clinics and field days within their territory.
6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting:
o Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports on a regular basis.
o Collaborate with the sales team and management to provide insights into market trends and opportunities.
7. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
o Work closely with marketing, product development, and logistics teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
o Collaborate on the development of marketing materials and promotional activities.
o Work closely with the other sales teammates, providing cross-support when required.
o Collaborate with the engineering and service team to provide continual feedback, and support when required.
8. Service and Support:
o Each territory manager will have tools and a spare parts kit in case dealer stock is low or short, to ensure customers can keep running. General duties include trouble shooting, assisting and training dealer service staff, liaison for engineering team as problems are being investigated, occasional parts delivery, occasional repairs and primary service support for the occasional direct sales customers. K-Hart Industries is tentatively planning to hire a travelling service manager for 2025.
9. Budget Management:
o Manage and adhere to the allocated budget for the territory, ensuring cost-effective sales initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or a related field or 10 plus years of relevant experience.
· Proven experience in agricultural sales, preferably in a managerial or territory management role.
· Strong understanding of agricultural products, industry trends, and customer needs.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
· Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Remuneration:
· The incumbent will be eligible for a benefit plan, which includes health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance.
· K-Hart Industries will supply a half ton for a company vehicle. All insurance, fuel and repairs will be covered by the company. The vehicle will be able to be used for the incumbent’s personal use as long as less than 10% of total kilometers.
· K-Hart Industries will reimburse the incumbent for all business-related expenses (internet, phone, office supplies, business trip including meals, hotels and approved promotional expenses for dealers and customers (meals, drinks etc.)
· Due to the nature of agricultural work and distance travel, the salary offered anticipates a significant amount of overtime at peak seasonal times. The incumbent will be encouraged to take flex time off to offset the banked overtime. Overtime will not be paid.
