DobkinTile in Buffalo, NY is seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic showroom salesperson to join the growing team at our flagship location. DobkinTile specializes in supplying materials to wholesale, contractor, architectural and design businesses throughout Western and Upstate New York.

Position Summary: Showroom Sales Associate is responsible for selling DobkinTile products and services to new and existing customers, ensuringquality service and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Presenting and promoting DobkinTile products

· Demonstrate exemplary customer service practices while working with designers, architects, tile contractors and homeowners in selecting products.

· Utilize customer service oriented sales techniques to effectively inform customers about products and applications.

· Utilize a “consultative” sales approach, identifying solutions based on customer needs.

· Display enthusiasm and perseverance in selling and promoting the company’s products and services.

· Demonstrate strong communication and selling skills, making effective use of time and responding to customer inquiries with a sense of urgency.

· Manage the sales process from product selection through product delivery.

· Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to drive/increase sales and ensure end user satisfaction with products ordered. .

· Keep others in the office informed of important details or changes relative to the showroom and customer needs/expectations.

Planning and Sales Support

  • Evaluate objectively and systematically new product offerings and determine how best to utilize showroom space to promote products.
  • Maintain showroom presentation standards, label displays and create custom displays as needed for inside and outside sales initiatives.
  • Keep sample room stocked, organized, labeled and up to date.
  • Keep an adequate supply of samples, labels, literature and other promotional items on hand to enhance inside and outside sales effectiveness.
  • Keep sales team apprised of changes relative to product promotions, changes in lines and availability through participation and contribution in sales meetings.

Self-Management

· Develop a comprehensive knowledge of all company products through manufacturers, trade magazines, sales meetings, personal experiences, etc. This includes:

o Knowing the products thoroughly including all the technical features.

o Understanding the products advantages and limitations.

o Understanding order desk processes and procedures including placing orders, stock checking and pricing methods.

· Fully understand DobkinTile policies, procedures and organizational structure.

· Make effective use of internal resources including Branch Manager, peers and other company staff.

· Project a professional image in appearance and conduct yourself in an honest, ethical, helpful, courteous and enthusiastic manner.

Education/Experience:

Related industry sales experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

Basic working knowledge and proficiency with M.S. Office Suite (M.S. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Able to use keyboard efficiently to type written correspondence and reports and enter data.
