The service Department is the largest shop in Southern NB. It has 24 work bays stocked with state-of-the-art tools and diagnostic equipment.

Downey Ford offers buyers in Saint John and southern New Brunswick a wide range of new Ford models and pre-owned Ford vehicles, as well as a modern servicing department. Downey Ford also offers genuine Ford parts and accessories, as well as a state-of-the-art body shop and detailing department

Position Summary

The Automotive Lot Attendant will assist in maintaining the dealership’s vehicle inventory, lot presentation and merchandising (vehicle display and lot signage). Maintaining the cleanliness and security of the lot will be imperative to ensuring the vehicle presentation is optimal.

Job Duties

The MAJOR TASKS are listed below, but the incumbent may be assigned to other duties as needed within the department

• Ensuring dealership lot is cleaned, organized daily
• Arranging and parking vehicles as needed for display or to create space for clients
• Help preparing vehicles for delivering and pick-up
• Overseeing and storing keys
• Checking in new vehicle arrivals and prepare for sale
• Ensuring dealership lot is free from trash, debris
• Maintain clean work area & neat in appearance
• Attends department meetings when required
• Maintains vehicles in appropriate designated areas Requirements
• Aid in the removal of snow from the vehicles
• Salting / sanding high traffic walkways for clients and staff
• Errands required as part of the business

o Daily runs to Service NB

o Delivery of cheques to banks when required

Requirements

• Provide and maintain a NB driver’s license, clean driving abstract and criminal Background check will be required
• Ability to drive a manual shift is required
• Self motivated
• Reliable transportation
• Punctual
• Effective time management
• Positive attitude with a willingness to help where needed
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to use a cellular phone
• Other duties may include delivering vehicles or employees / clients to specified locations.
