Area Sales Manager (ASM)
Position Description
The purpose of the ASM is to set sales and revenue goals, create and execute the plan to reach the goals for of our studios. ASM is accountable for all activities related to reaching sales goals including providing sales training and mentorship to new and existing studio staff members. The ASM is a hands-on position that requires top of funnel lead generation all the way to closing sales by the ASM and ensuring staff are adequately trained to close transactions.
Requirements:
- Expert and creative in prospecting and lead generation methodologies in a direct to consumer environment.
- Ability to work with franchisor partners.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with franchisors and individual staff at studios.
- Ability to assist in executing grassroot sales relationships with local business partners to each studio.
- Ability to interview and hire studio sales staff.
- Ability to delegate tasks.
- Ability to travel to studio locations
Responsibilities:
- Exceed sales goals at 3-5 fitness studios regionally located within northern NJ and one in Manhattan.
- Build a customer-first culture that ensures studio staff are adequately trained to provide world-class customer service.
- Daily oversight and assistance with closing sales transactions, when appropriate.
- Participate in implementation and execution of the EOS business management system.
- Spearhead grassroots sales initiatives for lead generation along with on-site studio staff
- Reach sales goals of each studio. Sales goals to be mutually agreed upon by the studio ownership and ASM.
- Mentoring and continuous learning and development of self and studio sales staff.
- Create sales systems and processes to streamline sales operations and sales processing.
- Participate in franchisor sales initiatives and promotions and inform all sales staff of these promotions.
- Review cancellations and take action to win back canceled memberships.
- Actively work to reduce attrition to 5% or below of current membership.
- Review cancellation requests from members and attempt to save and downgrade each cancellation request. Monitor cancellation requests patterns and make recommendations to management on reduction strategies.
- Ensure sales staff are properly trained in the daily sales operations of the studio including retail clothing sales, closing memberships/class packs, environment of the front desk area (music, dress code adherence, cleaning procedures).
- Interview and hire sales staff
- Participate on-site at the studios or various events, when necessary.
- Be a backup at studios to help with sales only as needed and in case of unavoidable emergencies.
Compensation:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Compensation Package:

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
