We are looking for an individual who will represent our four companies – Spring Green Lawn Care, Green Edge Lawn Service, Amundson Acres, and Pet Butler. The Customer Service & Growth Leader will provide an exceptional employment experience for our employees and outstanding service to our customers. As a leader of our brands, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining positive relationships and enhancing operational effectiveness. In this position, the individual is will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of all four businesses alongside the finance director and owners. A typical day will include some desk work, meetings, and strategic thinking (usually a couple of hours in the morning and at the end of the day), whereas the rest of this individual’s time may include jumping in a truck and being boots on the ground to serve our customers and support front line employees.

Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Develop strategic plan with other members of the leadership team aligning them with each company’s overall business goals.
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings – bringing Issues and identifying Solutions.
  • Communicate and execute strategic plan with team.
  • Develop and manage the budget for monitoring expenses and finding cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to promote our services, develop pricing strategies, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Analyze performance data and metrics to make informed decisions for improving operations and service quality.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, including adopting new technologies and best practices in each industry.
  • Assess and mitigate potential risks including safety hazards and legal compliance.

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and hold accountable (LMA) a strong team.
  • Create and manage staff schedules.
  • Collaborate with staff leads to ensure proper training, scheduling, and performance evaluations are completed and staff is fully supported on and off the field.
  • Lead weekly staff meetings for lawn care technicians in conjunction with staff lead.
  • Assist with hiring staff members.

Customer Service & Client Relationships:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing client concerns and ensuring their needs are met, often in person on their property.
  • Grow current client accounts with additional services.
  • Take key role in communicating with prospects about new projects.
  • Partner with Customer Service Specialist to problem solve issues.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction by ensuring that all services meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Allocate resources such as equipment, materials, and personnel to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Oversee equipment and property maintenance.
  • Ensure that all businesses activities comply with safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Manage the inventory of supplies, such as fertilizers, pesticides, and tools.
  • Implement quality control processes to monitor the effectiveness of lawn care treatments and services.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in a customer service or account management leadership role
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Proven track record in business development and driving revenue growth
  • Desire to learn and grow, focusing on lawn care services to best support our customers
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
  • Comfortable working with technology, including customer management systems, Bloom Growth, and basic office software including Excel and Word
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) helpful, but not required
  • Understanding of lawn care, pet waste care & clean-up, and farming helpful, but not required
  • Degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field preferred
  • Obtain licensure in all categories of service provided in lawn care

Hours and Pay:

  • Work hours to be determined based on business needs, but generally, 6:30am-4:00pm Monday through Friday.
  • Saturday work may be required during the months of May and April.
  • Salary depending on qualifications.
  • Potential to receive bonus.

Location:

Work will initially be performed in our Zumbrota, MN office, with occasional offsite work at our client sites.

Benefits:

  • Medical expense reimbursement (after 60 days): Medical expense reimbursement of up to $200.00 per working month (working min. of 70 hours).
  • Simple IRA (after 60 days): Company match of up to 3% of wages.
  • 6 Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
  • Additional Paid Time Off provided.
  • This role is eligible to utilize a company vehicle.
