Job Description
Summary/Objective
The loading yard lead person position coordinates activities of workers responsible for loading trucks with brick and re-sale items based on loading tickets. The loading yard lead person position is responsible for the order and neatness of the assigned load.
Essential Functions

1. Assist inside sales manager with identifying work procedures and making suggestions as to expediting workflow.
2 Give oral instructions to loading yard employees.
3- Examine work area for exactness of brick stacks for product and neatness. Examine work area for resale items for product condition and neatness.
4. Maintain harmony among workers and ways to improve efficiency.
5. Ensure correct shipment load on trucks per loading ticket. Ensure correctness of department paperwork and inventory.
6. Monitor productivity of forklift operators and ground keepers.
7. Assist employees with loading problems and received items’ storage issues.
8. Ensure employees are in compliance with company safety related policies and procedures.
9. Ensure employees time is correct on a daily basis.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and mobile equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme conditions when working outside, dependent upon weather conditions.
Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to sit, walk and stand; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include dose vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
1, High School diploma or equivalent.
2. 3 years of experience supervising a staff of 5 or more employees.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Manufacturing/industry experience.
