Position Summary: The Commercial Operations Account Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the operations of the commercial insurance department. This role involves managing workflows, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while providing exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial insurance, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Handle day-to-day management of commercial insurance policies: policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
- Applied Epic Experience is required.
- Review operational strategies to optimize efficiency and service and meet with various Team Leaders to discuss recommendations.
- Manage the operational non-sales functions and development of the department(s) or locations for Commercial Lines.
- Maintain client files within the agency management system and use the system to perform all transactions and file documentation according to established workflow and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, insurance products, regulatory changes to provide clients with informed guidance.
- Attend comprehensive training programs and continuous professional development opportunities.
- Travels on company business as required.
- Champions communication of goals, vision, and procedures developed by the leadership teams.
- Secure your insurance designations promptly so you will have the ability to communicate and train all the functions of an Account Executive. (SIA will pay for the courses and provide time during work to complete your studies)
- Collaborate with employees to help them understand what is expected from them to perform their job, goals and support them in achieving them. Recognize what needs to be done to meet both company and individual objectives. Clearly communicate expectations based on each employee's role.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for operational enhancements and lead initiatives to streamline processes.
- Utilize data analytics to assess performance metrics and implement changes based on findings.
- Client Relations:
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales and underwriting teams to support client needs and service delivery.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations and internal policies.
- Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards, adjusting processes as necessary.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present reports on operational performance, trends, and areas for improvement to designated management teams.
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to inform operational decisions.
- Provides feedback to management and employees about service structure to improve performance and productivity.
- Requirements:
- 4 years of Commercial Lines experience
- P&C License
- CIC License
