Responsibilities / Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
Dealership Sales:
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing dealership accounts across the U.S. and Canada.
- Identify and secure new business from potential dealerships.
Direct Sales:
- Drive revenue growth with large farming operations in both the U.S. and Canada.
- Lead direct sales efforts to manure digestion companies.
Agriculture Expertise:
- Leverage your background in manure, dairy, hog, or agricultural equipment to tailor solutions for customers.
Frequent Travel:
- Travel at least 50% of the time to manage dealership relationships and direct sales opportunities across North America.
Sales Team Leadership:
- Manage and inspire a high-performing sales team, ensuring exceptional performance and the achievement of sales KPIs.
Adaptability and Multitasking:
- Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, effectively juggling multiple priorities.
Market Awareness:
- Stay informed on market trends within the agriculture industry to ensure GEA products remain competitive.
Profitability:
- Achieve profitability targets by driving sales growth and managing costs.
Dealer Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong, direct relationships with dealers to promote GEA’s product portfolio.
Collaboration with R&D:
- Provide market-driven insights, product feedback, and pricing information to GEA’s Product Management and R&D teams.
Product Portfolio Strategy:
- Develop a North American product strategy to enhance market positioning and profitability.
- Align product and pricing strategies with the Manure Product Management team.
Market Intelligence & Benchmarking:
- Conduct market analysis to ensure competitive positioning and identify opportunities for product improvements.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 4-10 years of experience in sales, preferably in manure, dairy, hog, or agricultural equipment.
- Proven experience managing sales teams and customer accounts.
- Strong understanding of the agriculture industry and related market dynamics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant systems.
- Leadership skills with the ability to drive change and influence cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time within the U.S. and Canada.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
