As a Sales Consultant at Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, you will guide customers through the car buying process, helping them find the perfect vehicle for their lifestyle. This role reports to the Sales Management team.

Core Responsibilities:
- Promptly respond to internet, live chat and phone inquiries promptly using phone, email and texting to generate sales appointments
- Log daily sales lead activities in the CRM and follow up with customers who are not ready to make an appointment
- Convert visitors into customers by understanding their needs and interests, and pairing them with a vehicle best suited for their lifestyle
- Stay up-to-date on product offerings, optional packages, and latest technology
- Perform professional vehicle demonstrations and coordinate test drives, highlighting desirable vehicle features
- Assist customers with sales and financing paperwork
- Deliver sold vehicles to the customer, assisting with setting up vehicle features (i.e. navigation, Bluetooth, etc.) ensuring complete customer satisfaction
- Create genuine connections with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- 1 year of experience working in a customer service role is required
- Sales experience in any industry is a plus, but not required; we offer in-house sales training!
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in person and over the phone: friendly and professional with the ability to influence others
- Computer literacy and aptitude to learn and utilize new technology
- Ability to think from the customer’s perspective to understand their concerns or objections and respond thoughtfully
- A proactive and goal-oriented work ethic is a must
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Hours and Work Environment
We are open Monday through Friday 8am - 9pm and Saturday 8am – 8pm and closed Sundays. We ask that all candidates have open availability to work during our normal business hours. This is an onsite position, and requires working with customers in person and over the phone, and occasionally working outdoors on the sales lot.
