Job Description

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 29 branches throughout the United States. We primarily sell lumber products for our customers to make beautiful things and build happiness.

Position: We are growing! We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager,responsible for leading and managing our various sales teams throughout our western region. As a strategic level leader of Rugby, you will maximize our sales team’s potential, craft sales plans, and ultimately grow our business and market share throughout the region.

What’s in it for you:

  • Pay: this role consists of a base salary plus bonus. The base salary will be between $150,000 and $180,000 annually, with bonus potential up to $50,000 annually.
  • The opportunity to operate independently, using your experience and desire to achieve results. The role will be hybrid; you will use some combination of work at a local branch and significant travel to the other branches in the region.

Your Day-to-Day: to excel in this role, you will need to...

  • Drive growth and exceed sales targets by effectively managing and guiding the sales teams.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales blueprint to expand the company’s customer base.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance of sales representatives through coaching and mentoring.
  • Deliver comprehensive sales, revenue, and expense reports along with realistic forecasts to the Vice President and other stakeholders.
  • Identify emerging markets, market shifts, and stay abreast of new products and competition dynamics.

  • Proven track record of success as a sales manager, consistently meeting or surpassing targets.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the sales process from inception to closure.
  • Strong business acumen and industry expertise.
  • Proficient in mentoring, coaching, and people management.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the territory.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, familiarity with Agility software preferred.
  • Safety-conscious attitude, willing to undergo routine drug screenings as this role involves driving a company vehicle.
