Position Summary
The Corporate Group and Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for expanding business in corporate, locally negotiated, Consortia, and government transient and corporate group travel segments. The individual in this role aims to consistently improve guest satisfaction and achieve targets to drive revenue results.
Responsibilities:
- Developing Corporate Transient Market Segments by cultivating the LNR, Consortia, and Government market segments to achieve room night and revenue goals
- Achieving assigned sales and revenue goals, as well as solicitation call goals
- Proactively conducting solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertaining clients specific to Corporate Group/Business Travel
- Developing and growing new and existing relationships with assigned accounts specific to Corporate Group/Business Travel
- Monitoring and evaluating trends within the market segment
- Maintaining strong visibility in the local community and industry organizations
- Assisting in implementing and/or participating in special promotions relating to direct sales segments such as sales blitzes
- Conducting market analysis to stay updated on industry trends and local competition
- Handling annual RFP season negotiations, annual contract renewals, and any RFPs and/or contracts throughout the year
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and ability
- Knowledge and experience in Corporate/Corporate Group and Business Travel Sales
- Knowledge of the New Orleans area market
- Familiarity with Agency360, STR, Knowland, and other industry reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Office, and Internet usage
- Delphi Salesforce knowledge/Amadeus proficiency is a plus
- Hoteligence Agency
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Ability to work independently and display initiative, perseverance, and analytical skills
- Effective communication and excellent customer service skills
- Quick learner and hard worker
- Team player with the ability to get along with others
- Availability to meet guests, including weekends
- Fluency in English with excellent grammar and communication skills
- Hospitality Management or related combined experience and training equivalent
- Ability to work the day shift with flexibility to work nights as needed
- Able to work in person at the Hilton New Orleans Airport, Kenner, LA, location
Qualifications
Minimum of two years of college level courses with an emphasis on business or communication required. Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management is preferred
Requires a minimum of three years Sales experience - hotel experience preferred.
