SUMMARY

The Senior Commercial Training & Sales Enablement Manager is strategic leader responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs to enhance the commercial skills of sales teams. This role works closely with sales leadership, subject matter experts, and human resources to ensure that training programs align with business objectives and meet the needs of the sales force. The role will be a critical driver of commercial success by fostering a culture of continuous learning and development to maximize individual and team potential. The Senior Commercial Training & Sales Enablement Manager reports directly to the Senior Director, Commercial Excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Training

  • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs focused on advanced selling skills, customer engagement strategies, product knowledge, territory management, and sales funnel optimization.
  • Serve as a thought partner to Sales and Commercial Leaders, providing expert advice on strategic sales enablement and talent development initiatives.
  • Develop and manage a robust onboarding program for all new commercial hires, ensuring seamless integration into BioIVT’s sales organization.
  • Use analytics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, identify skill gaps, and develop targeted learning plans for continuous improvement.

Content Development:

  • Collaborate with product or service subject matter experts, to create and maintain a repository of training content, ensuring it is up-to-date, relevant, and engaging. Analyze performance data and feedback to recommend training, development, and coaching initiatives to address skill gaps of individuals and departmentally.
  • Lead coaching and mentoring initiatives, including role plays, field training, and real-time feedback sessions, to reinforce learning and promote skill adoption.
  • Partner with Human Resources to implement a structured competency-based framework to assess and develop sales capabilities across multiple teams and geographies.
  • Ensure that training programs are customized to meet the needs of different learner profiles.

Account Planning Expertise:

  • Provide guidance and support to sales teams on account planning strategies and best practices. Facilitate implementation of new best account planning best practices.
  • Collaborate with all branches of the commercial organization, and other functions as needed, to gather input, develop training content, and ensure effective delivery.
  • Lead change management initiatives to drive adoption of new processes, tools, and best practices across the sales organization.

Knowledge Management:

  • Manage a repository of training content and oversee the development and administration of knowledge checks and tests within the quality system.
  • Serve as a liaison between the commercial team and other business units (e.g., Marketing, Product Management) to ensure alignment and integration of key messages in training programs.

Sales Meeting Planning

  • Play a key role in planning and developing content for annual sales meetings.
  • Create impactful presentations, workshops, and interactive sessions to inspire and engage the sales team.
  • Work closely with Human Resource Business Partners to develop and maintain a comprehensive new hire onboarding programs for sales professionals.
  • Continuously collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between sales onboarding and other supporting departments.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or a similar role within a commercial or sales environment.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering training programs for sales teams, particularly in B2B or complex sales cycles.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies and experience in implementing them within training programs.
  • Strong knowledge of sales enablement technology, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Strong expertise in designing and delivering sales training programs, from onboarding to advanced selling techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with sales, marketing, product management, and HR teams to align training programs with overall business objectives.
  • Expertise in guiding and training sales teams on account planning strategies and best practices.
  • Proven ability to facilitate implementation of new processes and strategies to drive sales success.
