Job Description

Growing electrical products manufacturer is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to add to their team.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Service Engineer will assist in sales growth through building relationships with clients and by developing technical solutions for the industry renowned products and oversee the technical and operational aspects of our product development engineering and operational engineering. Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Developing a strong understanding of company products, competitors and positioning

· Creating strategic and tactical plans to successfully reach new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, products and services

· Identifying customer needs through building strategic relationships with technical representatives

· Generate, manage and lead routine technical workshops with key customers

· Coordinate both internal and client attendance so that needs can be determined and solutions developed. Ensuring solutions satisfy those needs and are within the capabilities of the business

· Working closely with internal departments to accelerate new products introductions

· Collaborating with local sales teams to align concepts and value propositions

· Prepare presentations; reports and support sales deliver the technical pitch

· Working with Senior Managers to manage risks and grow profitable sales revenues

QUALIFICATIONS:

· A track record of growing business with electrical utility companies

· Preferred Master’s degree level education in the field of engineering, Industrial Engineering preferred.

· Good negotiator, persuasive and commercially astute

· Technically astute with an entrepreneurial spirit

· Analytical, systematic approach to problem solving

· Maintain, encourage and possess “ownership mentality”

· Ability to adapt a strategic or consultative approach to closing opportunities

· Good business acumen, self-starter and able to manage themselves

· Resilient

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • technical sales calling on utility companies: 5 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Antioch, CA: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
