The Commercial Cleaning Sales Director Job Description Essential Purpose of the Job: The Commercial Cleaning Sales Director serves as the leader of the day-to-day operational activities of their support center to achieve maximum profitability. The Commercial Cleaning Sales Director is further charged with advising, recommending and assisting the Local Support Center in the formulation of overall Company objectives, policies and plans. The Commercial Cleaning Sales Director serves the primary sales role in both the dissemination of information pertaining to and the direct control of franchise sales.

The Commercial Cleaning Sales Director provides leadership for building a culture that is consistent with the Company’s Passion, Vision, Mission and Values.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements:

The environmental factors/and or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit potential customer locations as well as national and international office locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 to 20 pounds. The employee is required to have good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate computer equipment and read information. The employee is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

Reporting Relationships

The Commercial Cleaning Sales Director is accountable to the President, Executive Vice President and the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for direction and fulfillment of all duties and responsibilities.

Normal Work Schedule

Hours of work are Monday thru Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with one hour for lunch each day. Occasionally Saturdays or Sundays are required as determined by Executive Staff and RD.

One evening per week and one weekend day per month are expected for follow up on Franchise leads as well as any additional time as needed to prepare staff development and stay on top of work flow.

The Commercial Cleaning Sales Director is classified as a Salaried/Exempt Employee.

Education and Experience Requirements

Minimum experience: 3 years of management experience or training.

Minimum Education: College Degree or outstanding history in the work force.

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to Franchised Business Owners’ commercial cleaning customers, staff and allocation of financial and brand resources.

Strong ethics and values: adheres to an appropriate and effective set of core values and beliefs during both good and difficult times.

Previous P/L management experience recommended but not required.

Operational experience in the service industry is recommended but not required.

Business Planning’ experience for a regional territory is recommended but not required.

Action oriented with a drive for results. Demonstrates perseverance by pursuing goals with energy, drive, and a need to finish.

Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of Franchised Business Owners and their customers. Can motivate others and creates a climate in which people want to do their best.

Solid experience managing and leading the activities of a skilled, diverse and dedicated staff.

Ability to communicate and implement company objectives and initiatives to Regional Support Center personnel.

A team player and leader, able to develop and leverage the strengths of the Company team members.

Highly motivated and able to influence and motivate others.

Superior problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.

Ability to travel to annual meeting, quarterly trainings and other meetings as directed.

Position Responsibilities:

➢ Develop long and short range plans for the operation of the region, ensure the plans, once approved, are properly executed and the President, Executive Vice President and Vice President of Sales are kept informed of overall operations, trends and activities within the regions.

➢ Provide timely budget forecasts regarding but not limited to business levels, financial requirements, personnel needs, organizational plans and facility requirements needed to support the operations of the office and their projected effect on investment and earnings.

➢ Establish performance standards for the office’s operational team, evaluate performance of each employee against the established standards, and work with in conjunction with the President, E.V.P and V.P. of Sales and Marketing in improving and maintaining these standards.

➢ Responsible for all activities pertaining to the selling of Franchises. ➢ Oversee all activities related to the development of Franchise Owners to minimize account attrition.

➢ Seek concurrence on recommendations, or advice and act where final authority has been delegated regarding matters pertaining to interpretation or enforcement of disciplinary clauses within the franchise document.

➢ Dissemination of information pertaining to the franchise documents and sale of franchises.

➢ Work in tandem with your staff in the establishment of goals and the achievement of account sales initiatives for the office.

➢ Coordinate relationships with accounts and franchisees as are necessary and in the best interest of the Company.

➢ Work with the Accounting Administrative team to ensure that all activities relating to administrative policies and procedures are being adhered to in the office.

➢ See that office relations are maintained in a fair and consistent manner and in accordance with corporate policies and objectives.

➢ Conduct morning meetings with each staff member to ensure that they are on track to meet their goals and to give direction on how to achieve their metrics.

➢ Ensure that the database coding is being executed properly by each sales representative.

➢ Detailed understanding of the flow of the sale and the ability to teach the process including but not limited to the CRM.

➢ Ability to manage the daily trackers for each staff member in operations and sales and give advice when necessary.

➢ Ability to manage your time efficiently on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

➢ Must have the ability to review bids and make the necessary adjustments and/or corrections prior to the prospect receiving the proposal.

➢ Must ride with the sales representatives regularly to ensure that they are executing properly with door knocking, initial sales appointment presentation and the closing appointment.

➢ Ability to train and develop a sales representative to achieve a minimum of $3500.00 in new starts per month.

➢ Set up calendar reminders to review sales summary on Monday mornings to quickly be able to determine his/her needs.

➢ Ability to teach the sales representative different ways to affect their numbers.

➢ Review calls in CRM daily. Look at notes for completeness and offer direction when necessary.

➢ Sit side-by-side with your sales representatives for an hour per day to give immediate feedback. (The # of days per week is dependent on how quickly they are picking it up and prior sales experience).

➢ Make sure that all previous reps tasks are worked and moved over to the new hires data base.

➢ Perform QCC calls regularly to get feedback from the prospect and to use that information to coach your sales representative.

➢ Attend all classroom and hands on technical training to get a detailed understanding of the processes.

➢ Ensure that your Franchise Advisors are achieving at least the minimum daily metrics.

➢ Visit customers when necessary to resolve issues relating to the services that the Franchise provides.

➢ Ride with your outside sales representatives and Franchise Advisors to ensure that they are proficient with the handling of customers and prospects.

➢ Meet with Franchise owners to assist them with the growth of their business.

➢ Meet with Franchise owners to have candid conversations concerning the way they’re operating their business.

Total Compensation $65k-$85k ( Bonus and Commission)

- 401K with a 4% matching after the first 90 days

- 80% of Medical Insurance Paid

- Paid Vacation and Sick Time

- $50 a month Cell Phone Allowance

- Must have a steady work history of more than 3 years of working with the same company. We are looking for someone who is reliable and will make this a long term career.

Commission Breakdown:

1. 10% of all account sales that started monthly

2. $100 monthly for Retaining Clients at a 1.5% or less

3. 5% of net gain for the year to be paid out mid-January

4. Commission on all new Franchise Owners:

1. P3000-$300

2. P4000-$700

3. P5000-$1,000

4. P7000-$1,200

5. P10,000-$1,500

-All commissions on paid mid-month payroll following the month of starts and Franchise Owners Approved Signed Contracts.

-Raise Program based on performance of new customer starts in a year.

-80% of family medical insurance is paid by the company. Medical/Dental/Vision will start in the first month after start date, for example they started July 15th the medical would start August 1st. Medical Insurance is with United Healthcare.

-Tropical Trip-If they have one sales and operation rep qualify as a top performer *Very attainable, our top sales and operations reps won the trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for 2023 sales.

-Paid Vacation/Sick Time starts accruing on day one

- Paid RD Training

- A detailed understanding of the janitorial and/or franchising business is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
