Position Title: Field Marketing Department & Sales
Manager Cost Center

Position Overview:

The Divisional Manager is accountable for achieving the Nexen Tire America Training, merchandising, and next-level goals with the assigned region. This role provides brand awareness through the next level program within our customer base while responsible for the Nexen Tire America customer satisfaction and market share within the Regional geography.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides quality leadership for Nexen Tire America, Inc.’s internal and external customers in all assigned tasks while upholding Nexen Tire America’s values.
2. Upholds Nexen Tire America, Inc. values & standards at all times: inclusive of professional approach with clients, constructive problem solving, promoting positive and creative improvements, and inspiring others.

3. Achieves the Region’s training/next-level goals quotas for Nexen Tire America, Inc. products as they are sold into all customer segments within Region.

4. Establishes an environment and foundation for future sales growth. Sells and educates how to sell value and solutions to Nexen Tire America, Inc.’s customers.

5. Prioritizes effectively and by corporate objectives.
6. Works with the Motorsports, Marketing, and Sales team to organize and manage Sales

Presentations for new and existing clients to ensure attention and growth in the critical account segments.

7. Sets the vision for the Region and develops and adheres to a business plan to attain this vision.
8. Evaluate market trends, gather competitive information, and identify trends that affect the current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
9. Ensure that the Sales Call Report is mandatory and reported correctly, either daily or weekly.
10. Ensure that an immediate superior has reviewed Business Travel Plan. If there is any change over the original plan, it should be reported to the related parties promptly.
11. Ensure that the Expense Report must be correct and reported promptly, and all costs incurred should be for necessary business expenses
12. Special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities and Decision Making Authority

1. Empowered to make decisions within the Region with the approval of the Regional Sales Director or
2. Authority to make cross-functional decisions with the approval of Regional Sales Director or Sr.

Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:

1. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.” a. Proven leadership skills. b. Supervisory or management experience, preferably of a sales staff. c. Working knowledge of Tire Industry sales market segments within an assigned sales territory. d. Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior sales position.

2. Strong closing skills. Prior attendance at formal sales training courses is a plus.
3. Proven oral, written, telephone, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to learn and retain product-specific information and position the features and benefits to customers.
5. Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and

PowerPoint, etc.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's or Associate degree in Business Management or related field (preferred)
2. Three to five years of Tire Industry Regional Sales Management experience

Working Hours:

Hours may vary and will require evening and weekend work depending on business needs and will require working overtime

Working Environment:

Work usually performed in a home office setting or customer setting

Tools and Equipment Used:

Personal computer, e-mail, copier, fax, phone, and other standard office equipment

Travel:

Ability to travel as required by role (up to 75% of the time).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Associate (Required)

Experience:

  • Tire Industry Regional Sales Managment: 3 years (Required)
  • Marketing: 3 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • California: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Preferred)

Work Location: On the road
