Job Summary: The Sales Engineer (SE) is critical in supporting the entire sales cycle at VDA Labs. As the technical expert, you will work closely with our sales and technical teams to demonstrate VDA’s solutions to potential customers, guide them through proof-of-concept stages, and provide technical expertise throughout the engagement. The ideal candidate has a strong background in cybersecurity, technical writing, and a consultative approach, with the ability to build meaningful relationships and solve complex customer technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and demonstrate how VDA Labs' cybersecurity solutions address their specific needs.
- Provide technical leadership during sales calls and demonstrations, ensuring clear communication of VDA Labs' unique value proposition to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Conduct detailed Proof of Concept (POC) within customer engagements, including scoping, setup, configuration, and leading review meetings to ensure successful outcomes.
- Respond to Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI) with precise and well-documented technical solutions that align with customer needs.
- Maintain a deep understanding of VDA Labs’ service offerings and be able to articulate differentiators clearly in competitive scenarios.
- Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and support teams to resolve customer issues and incorporate feedback to improve VDA Labs' services continuously.
- Lead and deliver technical presentations, workshops, and demos as part of VDA Labs’ pre-sales and post-sales efforts.
- Support marketing efforts by providing input for webinars, presentations, and technical documents.
- Ensure the demo environment reflects current threat scenarios and exploits, allowing for practical customer demonstrations.
- Assist with the onboarding and growth of existing customers by providing technical guidance and use-case support as needed.
Qualifications:
- BS in computer science, engineering, related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or in a similar technical pre-sales role within the cybersecurity or IT industry.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with networking technologies (firewalls, routers, proxies, etc.) and virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience working in public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, attack methods, malware analysis, and exploitation techniques.
- CISSP or other relevant security certifications are a plus.
Preferences:
- Experience working with channel partners and a solid understanding of a channel-driven go-to-market approach.
- Experience working for cybersecurity vendors or consulting firms, particularly within high-growth environments.
- A passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment where adaptability and flexibility are critical.

Pay: $95,210.00 - $115,000.00 per year
