JOB OVERVIEW
Who are we? We are Shaketown Brewing, a small craft brewery operating for 2.5 years in the bustling Shipyards Brewery District. Our mission is to produce high-quality, easy-drinking beer in a safe, inclusive space and have fun doing it. While our sense of humour might be up for debate, our beer isn’t. We are the first and only BC brewery to win two consecutive World Beer Cup awards in the first two years of operation and we are looking for an experienced sales manager to champion our band, and be part of its growth.
Who are you? You are an experienced, result-orientated individual with strong communication skills who thrives on growing quality beverage brands. Your passion for craft beer is infectious, you understand market trends and have proven experience in building lasting relationships with hospitality, LRS and GLS retailers. Most importantly though, you’re a thoughtful, kind of weird person with a sense of humour.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the Shaketown brand in line with Senior Leadership’s business goals
- Nurture existing sales accounts while pursuing new business opportunities to expand market presence and increase sales
- Improving CRM databases and optimizing customer communication systems
- Working with the BCLDB to list products, implement and monitor sales and marketing initiatives
- Monitor market trends and analyze competitors’ products, pricing and promotions
- Participate in events, tastings, festivals and work with Marketing to explore new sales and promotional opportunities
- Lead sales team by ensuring targets are being met with the greatest efficiencies
- Reporting to Senior Leadership to review targets and sales projections
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in Craft Beer Sales with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Passion for and knowledge about Craft Beer, the brewing process, beer styles and flavour profiles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively and problem solve quickly
- Strong organizational skills to manage time, territories and resources efficiently
- Ability and willingness to travel on occasion
- Self-motivated, results-orientated mindset with the ability to both work independently, and lead a small sales team
- The ability to lift heavy loads on occasion
- Valid BC drivers licence and your own vehicle
- Previous CRM experience is an asset
COMPENSATION
- $52,000 - $60,000 per year plus bonus
