The Optum Insight & Optum AI CISO Office Security Response Management (SRM) Sr. Manager is responsible for coordinating the strategic and tactical elements to ensure optimal preparation and response to internal and external security events. As SME within this function of this function, the SRM Sr. Manager will support Optum insight and Optum AI through on average 20 incidents a month. Externally there are 2 major incidents a week impacting clients who consume a variety of applications, data, and services. This role will enable the team to prepare for issues by creating the knowledge and system connectivity to client and applications teams necessary to drive alignment from client to technology. The SRM Sr. Manager will both support and be able to manage active events from initial triage through all points of engagement and escalation needed to contain and resolve and issue.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a point of contact for security events able of performing event triage, engaging the necessary OI & OAI stakeholders, and managing escalations
- Assist the SRM Director in the development and guidance of a follow-the sun capable team capable of continually managing and improving the response to Security Events
- Support the continual readiness and development of a multi-geography team inclusive of development, training, and regulatory resource prohibitions
- Support event communications on both internal and external security incidents
- Drive longer-term remediation efforts of security events managing them through close
- Support leadership and progress updates to Office of OI & OAI CISO, OI & OAI executive leadership, and EIS and Optum Tech
- Act as a SME and provide coaching to more Junior members of the team
- Partner with segment technology and business leadership to establish point in time repositories needed to align OI Clients to Account Representative to Product Sold to Applications and ultimately accountable technical representatives
- Translate that Client to Tech reference into a consumable toolset potentially in partnership with OI Technology and Engineering
- Provide support as needed, for the OI & OAI BISO and CISO
- Partner with segment stakeholders to support customer and regulatory audits of the Information Security Program
- Partner with segment technology and business leadership to ensure mutual awareness and understanding of offerings, products, tech, and processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with external clients and vendors on security events
- As needed, partner with segment stakeholders to represent the Information Security capabilities of UHG to both current and prospective customers
- Support needed regulatory data and responses to external parties and regulators on security events
- Significant level of communications (oral and written) to senior management on risk management concepts, as well as specific project risks and risk mitigation options/scenarios
- Maintains a deep understanding of the business, their customers, and service-delivery models. This understanding includes strategic business initiatives and goals, key systems and key contacts within the business and IT
- Active partnership with business and technical stakeholders to understand unique business requirements and develop security domain expertise and technical objectives

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Information Technology Operations experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting tech response and communications in one of Incident Response/IT Support/Managing security events
- 3+ years of security experience in at least one of Cyber Defense, IAM operations, Network Security)
- 2+ years of experience triaging, engaging stakeholders, and managing escalations for Cybersecurity events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degrees in IT, Engineering, or Cybersecurity
- Technical security certification; CISSP/CISM/CEH or Equivalent
- Experience managing teams

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
