Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Sales Manager, with dairy, more specifically, creamery experience to join our team. As the GSM, you'll spearhead the sales leveraging all available resources to drive demand and shape the market strategy in alignment with company wide objectives. Your primary focus will be on managing key customer relationships, leading sales initiatives, and ensuring profitable growth. The ideal candidate can understand, build, and execute a successful sales strategy plan! This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in sales management.

Duties:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Manage sales operations including pipeline/strategy, customer calls, etc.
- Provide training and mentorship to sales and support staff
- Deliver summarized financial data and insights for informed decision-making
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities
- Collaborate with national sales team on core initiatives
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors' activities, and market conditions

- Manage margins through price adjustments, promotions, and SKU management

- Grow volume and margin

- Foster a winning organizational culture

- Enhance market presence through buyer and decision maker engagement

- Monitor sales and profit results, display execution, and expense control

- Attend KPI calls and contribute to goal setting

Skills:
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the cream or dairy industry
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Multilingual skills are a plus
- Drive productivity and efficiency
- Strong mathematical skills for analyzing sales data and forecasting
- Ability to deliver effective presentations and public speaking engagements
- Familiarity with sales support tools such as CRM software

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required

- Minimum 8 years of sales experience in consumer products or food manufacturing

- Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills

- Demonstrated P&L management experience

- Proven track record of building and developing high-performing teams

- Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing abilities

- Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills

- Outstanding planning and organizational capabilities

- Deep understanding of customer channels

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
