Job Description
The Mechanical Account Manager - Central will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with mechanical contractors, ensuring the successful promotion, sale, and support of our commercial water heating products. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical systems, strong sales and relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to customer service. This role is responsible for identifying key contractors within a specific region and educating them on how to increase their revenue with Rheem water heating products by utilizing the good, better, best approach. This role additionally provides support and ongoing training for contractors within the assigned region. This position will serve Rheem’s Commercial Water Division Central Region . The ideal candidate for this role would be located in Dallas, TX .
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate the needs and opportunities for contractors by developing a trusting relationship with the goal of introducing the value/benefit upsell approach of the Rheem product line and programs.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with mechanical contractors to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Provide technical support and product information to contractors, assisting them in selecting the right Rheem commercial water heating products for their projects.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and potential mechanical contractors.
- Oversee the planning and execution of projects involving the installation and maintenance of Rheem commercial water heating products.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to provide informed advice and solutions to contractors.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Water training team to provide/offer training sessions and product demonstrations for contractors to enhance their knowledge and use of our products.
- Address and resolve any product or service-related issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Track and report on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Work closely with the sales, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure seamless communication and support for contractors.

- Participate in trade and industry events focused on demand generation
- Travel within region will be required
- Provide Voice-of-Contractor feedback to help product and sales teams better understand customer needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in account management, sales, or a related role within the mechanical or water heating industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and commercial water heating products.
- Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Travel up to 50% to visit contractors and attend industry events.
