Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Produce Sales Manager to drive growth and expand our customer base. This role is focused on building strong, long-lasting relationships with customers across various markets, from local to international. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales within the produce industry, with at least 5 years of experience in managing and developing customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in local, national, and international markets.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to stay ahead of industry demands.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly to maintain client loyalty.
- Track and report on sales performance, customer feedback, and market insights to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the produce industry, with a focus on B2B sales.
- Proven ability to drive new business and expand customer portfolios.
- Strong knowledge of the fresh produce market, including logistics, supply chains, and international regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed to build relationships and expand market reach.
