As the Technology Consultant, you are responsible for all sales functions relating to the development of new customer relationships for the company. The ideal candidate must be very skilled at prospecting, completing thorough assessments of IT environments, aligning customer needs with ideal solutions and successfully securing new business in an expeditious manner.
Location and Schedule:
- This is a remote position with the flexibility to work from home, but candidates must be based in the New Orleans area. Clients visits within the region will be required as needed. Candidates should be comfortable with a mix of virtual and on-site client interactions.
- Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm CST
Essential Responsibilities:
Client Service
- Provide responsive client service. Answer internal and external client/vendor calls quickly and pleasantly. Communicate in a friendly, professional and patient manner
- Perform all duties with the goal of building and maintaining long-term client/vendor relationships
- Immediately address any customer concerns, notifying appropriate management of action taken to resolve
- Maintain exceptional client service, understanding client satisfaction and perception
- Strong attention to detail
Daily Required Functions
- Execute daily prospecting activities required for achieving the assigned sales quota
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify customer pain-points and requirements as it relates to the management of client’s IT environment
- Partner with other departments and resources to develop business relevant solutions for all complex opportunities
- Deliver effective presentations that promote benefits in terms of financial justification as well as overall improvement in service performance
- Successfully secure new-logo business consisting of annuity based managed IT services agreements
- Execute all duties with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer satisfaction
- Accurately create and regularly maintain account records in company’s CRM resource
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to engage prospective customers as required
- Keep management informed of account plans based on client conditions and schedule
- Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads and represent the Company at industry-related events

- Always maintain responsive and exceptional customer service
- Utilize active listening and client-care skills in identifying potential concerns
- Report client concerns or complaints to manager
- Answer internal and external communications timely and professionally
Teamwork
- Demonstrate and promote a spirit of cooperation and teamwork throughout the Company
- Continually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our clients effectively
- Improve personal performance on a continual basis
- Provide feedback to manager about ways to potentially improve processes
Tech-Savvy
- Comfortable utilizing email, Microsoft Office applications and company phone system
- Proficient utilizing company CRM system
- Ability to learn new technology products and services
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and participating in vendor-sponsored certifications or other educational initiatives
Commitment Limitations
- May not make a non-budgeted expenditure or commitment of the Company without management approval
- May not execute any contractual arrangements with a client without management approval
Confidentiality / Conduct
- May not divulge proprietary information regarding client’s business
- May not divulge any confidential personnel/corporate policy including discussion of performance reviews or salary
- Do not discuss company prices or terms of sale unless with client in act of performing job
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2-3 years consultative sales experience required
- Experience in selling IT technology, SaaS and/or cloud-based solutions is strongly desired
- Ideal candidate should be detail oriented and highly organized
- Superb communication and presentation skills are required
- Proven track record of success selling to SMB owners and executive-level decision maker
Work Authorization Criteria

Workspace Requirements and Remote Work Policy
Team members must establish a dedicated safe workspace that is free from distractions, hazards, and that is secure from unauthorized access. This includes following Ntiva’s IT User and Security Policies that include but are not limited to password-protecting all equipment, keeping confidential and proprietary documents secure, refraining from using public Wi-Fi, having adequate arrangements in place to avoid significant interruptions from caregiving responsibilities during work hours (except in emergency situations with manager approval). Any remote work away from a team member’s normal expected dedicated safe workspace must be requested by team member, is subject to review by management, and must adhere to Ntiva policies and procedures.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
