Job Description
The Hilton Memphis Hotel in East Memphis TN is looking for an individual that is desires to join an outstanding company with tremendous growth opportunity.
- Majority of the position will be Monday – Friday, however there may be times when you will need to work on weekends for customer site visits, out-of-town trips, etc.
- The position is mainly responsible for negotiating and contracting 75+ guest rooms per night, as well as food/beverage revenue, meeting room rental, and audio-visual revenue that would be in conjunction with the group rooms for the SMERFE market
- Responsible for prospecting & soliciting to find and contract new business into the hotel
- Responsible to make outside sales calls and plan & conduct customer site visits of the hotel
- Responsible for maintaining and improving current relationships with existing accounts
- Must be able to multi-task daily responsibilities
- Must be able to meet & exceed monthly goals for revenue generation and sales activities
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal team members
- Must be able to attend pre-convention and post-convention meetings with customers when needed
- Knowledge of Delphi is a strong advantage
- Must have basic knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel
- Must be able to negotiate with customers in a positive manner to contract profitable business that meets the parameters of the hotel’s budget
- Food & Beverage experience a plus
- Minimum of three years of hotel sales experience
