Job Description

*This position is located in close proximity to Orange County, CA on the client's site.

Position Summary

The Account Manager plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding automotive client service and driving operational excellence. This position involves analyzing business data, monitoring industry trends, and ensuring seamless communication between the client and the Tempe, AZ Operations team. The Account Manager will engage regularly with senior leadership, presenting critical business insights in a C-suite format to ensure alignment with the client’s strategic objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

· Act as the primary liaison with the automotive client, managing all operational program flows and ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.

· Relay client initiatives and operational needs to the off-site Operations team.

· Collaborate with client representatives, vendors, and agencies to support successful program execution.

· Identify and address daily operational challenges, providing prompt solutions.

· Define, coordinate, and oversee ongoing initiatives that align with the client’s goals.

· Translate client requirements into actionable tasks for the off-site Operations team, IT, and management.

· Participate actively in meetings with key stakeholders at the client’s headquarters, offering insights and recommendations for program enhancements.

· Assist in the development of training materials for client sessions, including field and dealer meetings.

· Manage the design, coordination, implementation, and communication of program guidelines and training materials.

· Provide comprehensive account management support, including internal status reporting, program insights, and quality control reviews.

· Lead discussions with divisional personnel to define customized reporting needs that enhance analysis and promotional effectiveness.

· Create in-depth diagnostics to support the client’s promotional spending and sales objectives.

· Serve as Project Lead for all client initiatives, including generating project specifications, mockups, and proposals.

Internal and External Relationships

Internal:

· Reports directly to the Head of Automotive Account Management and collaborates with Tempe Operations leadership, Sales, Account Management, and corporate teams.

External:

· Works closely with client Business Owners, client personnel, and external vendors as needed.

Job Qualifications

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field; MBA in Marketing or a related field preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience:

· Minimum of 5 years in Automotive Retail or Brand Management.

· Minimum of 2 years in Project Management.

· Minimum of 2 years in Market Research.

· Minimum of 2 years in Retail ROI Analysis.

· Prior Tier II/III co-op and/or compliance program management experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:

· Strong understanding of retail marketplaces, advertising, and promotional strategies.

· Excellent communication skills with experience in cross-departmental collaboration.

· Capable of delivering formal presentations to diverse audiences.

· Familiarity with brand messaging and communication strategies.

· Able to thrive in high-speed environment while managing multiple projects.

Working Conditions and Travel

· Onsite preferred; or working location approximately 100-200 miles from Orange County, CA so candidate is able to be in-office/onsite as requested by Client.

· Occasional extended hours may be necessary to ensure project completion and meet client requirements.

· Quarterly overnight travel to the off-site Operations office is required.

· Occasional client entertainment during business and/or extended hours e.g. lunch, dinner).

· Occasional overnight travel to conferences and events may be necessary.

· Initial onboard training requires three to five days’ onsite Tempe, AZ service office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
