DESCRIPTION: DIRECTOR OF SALES & SERVICE – Richmond, BC

We are looking for a Director of Sales & Service to spearhead CARO’s sales, marketing, and client service efforts. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of market trends, innovative strategies for customer engagement, and proven leadership skills to guide our sales team and maximize customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the executive team, your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

Business Plan Development & Implementation

· Develop and lead the long-term strategy for Sales, Marketing, and Client Service departments.

· Set, forecast, and review sales and marketing goals, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives.

· Establish and manage departmental budgets.

Sales, Marketing & Brand

· Define target markets and analyze CARO’s market share relative to competitors, identifying growth opportunities.

· Develop, implement, and evaluate customer acquisition, engagement, and retention programs.

· Optimize multi-channel marketing strategies while maintaining brand integrity across all communications.

· Analyze market trends to adapt strategies and ensure CARO stays ahead in a dynamic industry.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams on product development, pricing strategies, and market positioning.

Client Service

· Serve as the strategic point of contact for senior clients and foster a network of key decision-makers in growth areas.

· Develop initiatives to enhance customer service quality and efficiency, focusing on client retention and satisfaction.

· Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize the value of client relationships.

People Management

· Hire, train, and motivate staff, ensuring team goals are met and employee development is supported.

· Provide leadership through coaching, mentoring, and empowering team members with appropriate task delegation.

Qualifications:

· University or College degree/diploma in a related discipline.

· 10+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or client service, with at least 5+ years of management experience.

· High-achieving, results-oriented leader with a track record of success.

· Innovative thinker who can generate original ideas and solutions.

· Proven ability to make quick, decisive decisions and lead teams effectively.

· Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

· Experience in strategic planning and execution, with a focus on customer engagement and market development.
