Job Description
The National Account Manager for Tractor Supply Co. will lead and manage all aspects of the everyday responsibilities of PCB’s Pet product portfolio at the Customer with the goal of creating "Win / Win" opportunities to grow our collaborative businesses.
The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and develop solutions to complex problems, along with effective time management, building and fostering key customer and internal relationships, will be required to be successful.
Major Job Activities
- Direct call with Pet Consumables Merchants at Customer HQ location
- Meet or exceed sales targets and stay within allocated trade budget. Evaluate and adjust sales plans to ensure plan implementation and achievement.
- Develop and implement merchandising programs that maximize profitable growth and meets the needs of both the Customer and Post Consumer Brands.
- Collaborate with the Customer on a joint business plan that maximizes product mix and promotional execution, ensures optimal shelf placement, delivers on agreed upon growth rates. Conduct “Top to Top” meetings with Senior Post Consumer Brands and Company Executives.
- Lead Line Review presentation development in partnership with PCB’s Category Management and Analytics teams
- Maintain coordination with internal Post Consumer Brands functional teams to ensure all programs, sales initiatives, issues, and questions are resolved in a timely manner.
- Develop accurate forecasts in collaboration with the Customer, and in partnership with Post Consumer Brand’s Demand Planners.
- Additional Accounts may be assigned for workload balance
Location Description: This National Account Manager position will be home office based in or near the Nashville, TN area.
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience a minimum of 5-7 years in CPG sales and/or cross functional role
- Previous Sales support positions (trade management, category management, and consumer marketing) are desirable. Strong preference for Tractor Supply account management experience.
- Requires demonstrated success in leadership and selling skills, as well as strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- Must be effective at problem-solving (analysis, solution finding, and bringing resolution to a problem), communications (both written and oral), and self-management (set priorities, plan/organize own work, good at detail and follow through)
- Excellent working knowledge of Nielsen Syndicated data, Power Point, and Excel.
- Role is home office based and required to be within reasonable driving distance of account HQ in Brentwood, TN
