How You’ll Make an Impact
The purpose of this position is to manage and build Channel Partner (independent distributor) relationships, educate and motivate Distributor Sales Representatives (DSR) and Distributor Sales Managers to gain new customers, build volume in existing accounts, and gain distribution of the entire family of brands portfolio in an assigned territory. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, revenue-focused individual who can quickly establish relationships for a growth-oriented sales strategy.
- Develop and enrich strategic relationships with Channel Partners in management, sales, operations, and customer service.
- Mentor and educate DSR’s on sales process, value proposition, new products, and existing marketing programs to effectively maintain business and close new customer deals.
- Create and execute sales growth strategies for each Channel Partner.
- Conduct top to top monthly Channel Partner reviews to ensure that sales growth strategies are on target to meet goals.
- New Channel Partner onboarding and account management
- Assist DSR’s in closing high potential prospective customers
- Provide reports and related sales information on a day-to-day basis as required by the Company
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
Familiarity with “do it for me”(DIFM) automotive or heavy-duty market experience
Strong track record of training and/or sales experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite primarily Teams, PowerPoint, Excel
Working knowledge of business analytic tools (SNAP, BW, BI Tools, or equivalent)
Working knowledge or Salesforce.com (or equivalent CRM)
- Ability to travel up to 75% with some overnight travel
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
