Job Description
The Mercedes-Benz Manhattan New Vehicle Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing vehicle sales through prospect management and development, lead channeling, sales support and marketing relations. Provide a superior customer experience while training, coaching, mentoring and full accountability of sales team on a daily basis.
- Provide Mercedes-Benz customers the best purchasing experience aligning with MBM’s mission statement.
- Sales manager is responsible for the culture, training, mentoring, developing and ensuring accountability of team’s sales consultants.
- Weekly scheduling of sales team and approval of hours in payroll system.
- Sales Consultant performance reviews and management on a quarterly basis, monthly monitoring of performance objectives to ensure sales teams is hitting minimum standard of 11 vehicles per month.
- Sales Consultants utilizing Next Up faithfully as the program is designed.
- Responsible to hit monthly variable new car plan profitability and sales volume.
- Responsible for monitoring/guiding Customer Relations Management from initial contact through delivery. Unsold traffic follow up of prior day’s business - phone and/or showroom leads.
- Ensure that Momentum/Tekion & Auto Alert are utilized properly, clearly defined notes entered by consultants and its benefits maximized to ensure MBM lease retention greater than 40% per month. All prospects entered into Momentum/Tekion system in real-time.
- Responsible to greet/qualify prospects and to introduce salesperson on sales floor.
- Coordinate financial transactions between sales associates, desk manager, clients and lenders. Develop, enhance and manage relationships by properly working with sales consultants. Coordinate the transfer of customers with salespeople using a defined turnover process.
- Verify that all transaction information is compliant with MBM procedures, state, and local laws. Conduct all transactions according to MBM Core Values and Integrity Code and Sales Audit Compliance requirements.
- Log deals on Quickbase, ensure sold vehicles are placed on hold and removed if cancelled, deposit are taken on all deals/orders and full accountability of setting up proper deal jacket for F&I turnover to include signed buyers order, deposit, LAP, Fleet, Export, etc., signed build to order forms for ordered vehicles
- Ensure Department’s MMC total activation rate is at 90% or greater as indicated on MBUSA’s Netstar reporting system
- Ensure New Car Sales 5 Star review objective is achieved.
- Responsible for monitoring the sales consultant participation in Podium reviews and ensuring each Sales Consultant receives 3 or more 5 star MBM Sales customer Podium reviews
- Provide on a regular basis new vehicle configurations to Inventory Manager
- Pay close attention to new vehicles aged over 180 days.
- Submit High Risk deals for compliance approval PRIOR to printing Buyers Order or delivering vehicle.
- Handle customer complaints/issues in their entirety.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Achieve an Effortless Experience for both internal and external customers and employees
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience.
- 3- 5 years proven track record in high-end luxury vehicle sales management.
- Mercedes-Benz sales experience a plus.
- Must be able to work Saturdays
- Work Holidays when required
- Must be able to commute to/from the Mercedes-Benz Manhattan dealership in New York City
- Must be able to withstand physical requirements of the position
- Must have valid driver's license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $200,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
