Title: AfterMarket Parts Sales Engineer- International
Reports To: Vice President of Sales, FMF
Scope of Position: AfterMarket Sales Engineer- International performs a wide variety of duties associated with the AfterMarket Sales department with the goal to provide parts solutions to our global customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all initial Aftermarket International parts and any correspondence from customers outside the US & Canada.
- Additionally, will also integrate overflow of domestic parts and sales requests coming into the Sales department.
- Through analysis of the parts or equipment requested, will review drawings, correspondence and any other documents to determine what components meets the customers’ needs and begins the process of gathering information in order to prepare an accurate Sales Quote.
- Obtain quotes from other Mestek locations and 3rd Party suppliers for the required components.
- May review with Engineers and other Sales representatives to clarify particulars regarding the potential sale.
- Obtain quotes for any necessary packaging and shipping to be incorporated into the proposals supplied by customers.
- Coordinate with service departments at all Mestek locations and 3rd party sources to provide remote technical assistance and provide quotes for onsite assistance.
- Works closely with other Mestek locations and International Sales Reps to identify potential markets and to support their capital equipment sales.
- Following up on sales quotes, checking on status to encourage closure of the scope of the sale as well as expanding the sale when possible.
- Performs all necessary international import/export compliance duties to ensure the international vendor or customer are vetted accurately and in accordance with the laws governing global sales of goods and services, such as CISG, FCPA and all other global commerce regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and complete compliance records.
- Track and coordinate all international shipments through all modes of transportation.
- Administrator of Salesforce.com, updating information and data which allows Sales department to target potential sales and marketing efforts.
- Assists the customer in order-taking to help streamline the process and complete the sales order timely.
- Prepare quotations and remits to customers for potential sales.
- Reviews incoming orders; matches to information presented in our quotes and works with international sales engineers to reconcile discrepancies.
- Processes order acknowledgements and job pages as needed.
- Makes all financial arrangements necessary with the customer for payment at the time of purchase.
- Prepare Commercial invoices, packing slips and all other documents needed to export items to customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- The minimum education required is a Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or related field.
- Typically requires 3-5 years or more years of experience in a Sales environment.
- PC skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)
- Strong Social Media skills
- Strong Verbal / Written skills
- Time Management/ Organizational skills
