JOB SUMMARY:
The Account Manager will work in the water treatment industry to maintain and expand the Company's business base by maximizing the profitability of assigned customer accounts and also help the Company grow by soliciting new business! The Account Manager will use their technical knowledge about the water treatment industry to recommend and apply basic water treatment applications and solutions, as well as communicate program results to regional managers and customers.
JOB DUTIES:
- Interact with site personnel in various departments to sell and support Company's water treatment products and services for boiler, cooling, RO, process, and drinking water systems at numerous customer locations in a number of industries
- Communicate with all levels of personnel at customer sites
- Plan and organize personal calendar and schedule service activities
- Grow territory through sales of new customers (including some prospecting and cold calling) and within current customer accounts
- Conduct energy management projects
- Coordinate projects and perform routine reviews with customers
- Perform water sampling and testing; typical testing equipment includes spectrophotometers and titration tests
- Assist with chemical feed and inventory management
- Troubleshoot water-related equipment
- Calibrate field test and control equipment
- Input test results in data management systems and create service reports
- Conduct annual reviews and perform account management activities
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated and recognized integrity, sound character, social skills, and leadership ability
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong relevant qualitative and quantitative skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft products (including One Drive, Sharepoint, and PowerBI)
- Willingness to learn
- Willingness to sell and support Company products and services
- Ability to perform work while mobile in the field; extended hours and flexible work schedules are dependent on project and customer requirements
- Ability to maneuver pails and drums and perform inspection of equipment that could be at elevated heights; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to meet customer requirements for security, safety, and vaccination
- Ability to work in environments that are loud and non-airconditioned
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended time periods
- Ability to perform routine chemistry titration and colorimetric tests
- Willingness and ability to wear appropriate PPE that is required to be worn in work environments
- Ability to be fitted with a respirator
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or other relevant field of study_ or_ equivalent experience
- Experience working in the industrial water treatment industry
- Experience in technical sales or consulting
