We are seeking a motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to build and sustain relationships with our most valued customers while also driving new business opportunities. As a leading give-back candle company, we are focused on providing outstanding products and service while helping to fund the fight against human trafficking. The Key Account Manager will play a critical role in managing client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and developing strategies to expand and grow these relationships, as well as identifying and closing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy:
- Implementing strategic action to grow sales in Chain Accounts
- Working with Director of Sales on sales goals for Chain Accounts.
Key Account Management:
- Serving and growing current key accounts.
- Ensuring accounts are regularly contacted and feel appreciated.
- Submitting new product assortments to retailers based on their submission schedule.
- Submitting product promos to retailers based on their requirements and submission schedule.
- Maintaining records of promo submission deadlines, cost/timeline/discounts of promos being offered, and product submission deadlines for accounts.
- Reviewing sales data to inform decisions on product assortment and promos.
- Managing void reports to proactively address ordering/sales performance issues.
- Inform key account customers of any changes to ship dates or lead times.
New Business Development:
- Developing target prospect lists.
- Pursuing target accounts.
- Accurately tracking sales progress with each account in CRM.
Tradeshow Attendance:
- Traveling to tradeshows to show products to current and new accounts (1-3 times per year).
Price/Assortment Management:
- Ensuring accurate pricing is given to each key account.
- Tracking product assortments and pricing in each account.
New Lead Qualification:
- Responding to new wholesale leads within 1 business day & following appropriate new lead process for qualification.
KPI Reporting:
Maintaining accurate sales pipeline data and KPI metric reporting.Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in key account management and/or business development (preferably the CPG industry).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships; enjoys people.
- Technical Experience: CRM Experience (HubSpot and Cin7) preferred.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate with internal teams to meet company and client goals.
- Self-Starter: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and drive results.
Hours
- 40 hours/week.
- Training will be on site, and position will move to a remote schedule once established with weekly in-person team meetings, as well as additional occasional in-person meetings.
Starting Pay
- $70,000-$100,000/year base.
- Quarterly & annual bonuses for hitting/exceeding sales goals.
- Compensation will be based on experience level.
