Job Summary:
Brooks Building Solutions is seeking a full time Sales Engineer who will professionally, persuasively, and proactively represent the North Florida/South Georgia marketplace. The successful candidate will be an independent, self-starter driven to produce results in their primary markets which are the Jacksonville area.
The sales engineer is responsible for maintaining long-term relationship with existing customers and making new connections quickly to assess prospective customer needs and sell technical mechanical goods and services. This position requires a decisive individual who can manage multiple priorities including marketing, specifying, estimating, influencing, closing, and executing orders of mechanical equipment and systems resulting in the development and support of key accounts.
This sales engineers account list will include some of the largest engineering and design build engineering contracting firms in the Southeast and the United States.This person will work closely with our clients design teams on projects that include hospitals, labs, research facilities, universities, K-12 schools, manufacturing facilities, and commercial office buildings. They will be representing some of the largest and most respected companies in our industry including Daikin (the largest air conditioning manufacturer in the world), ABB, Klimak, Enviro-Tec, Johnson Air Rotation, Multistack, Seasons 4, and Seresco.
Job Position Requirements:
- Articulately provide equipment selection and engineering support to consulting engineers and contractors
- Prepare submittals of equipment selected for approval by consulting engineers
- Be responsible for order entry and job tracking to ensure project delivery
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products, and to provide sales support
- Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions
- Sell products requiring extensive technical expertise and support for installation and use, such as chillers, air handling units, variable frequency drives, and dedicated outside air systems
- Recommend equipment options to customers, documenting how such changes will lower costs or increase efficiency
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations that explain products or services to customers and prospective customers
- Provide technical and nontechnical support and services to clients or other staff members
- Provide job follow up and support
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering
- Must be highly motivated, goal oriented, competitive, strategic thinking, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, and capable of working within a team environment
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Communicates effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Training:
- Professional Sales and Manufacturer training as required.
Compensation:
Our compensation plan will allow this individual to earn above the top 10% of income for engineers in the Jacksonville area. We offer 401K with a company match of 3%, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and disability insurance.
