Job Description

The Business Development Manager will:

  • Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities within the semiconductor cleaning chemicals market.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including semiconductor manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and end-users.
  • Analyze industry trends and market needs to position the company's products effectively, creating tailored solutions for customers.
  • Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align go-to-market strategies with customer demands.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets, revenue growth, and market penetration.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from lead generation, qualification, proposal development, to closing deals.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor competitive activity and industry trends, adjusting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage and grow key customer accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Provide technical and application expertise related to semiconductor cleaning chemicals to support clients in making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinate with technical support and customer service teams to ensure timely product delivery and resolution of any client issues.
  • Work closely with product management and R&D teams to provide customer feedback, ensuring that products meet market and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to support business development efforts and share insights from client interactions.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings to network and stay updated on industry developments.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, progress against targets, and market trends to senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records, tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business development or sales in the semiconductor, chemicals, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the role of cleaning chemicals in the production process.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive new business and achieve sales targets.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with sales forecasting tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel (as needed) across the Northeast to meet with clients, attend industry events, or support business development efforts.
