Job Description

Responsibilities

Team Management

  • Leads and manages a team of sales representatives that drives volume, mix and profitability. Works with the sales team to develop, train and motivate creating an environment that is driven, enthusiastic and results oriented.
  • Leads the team to form strategic relationships at target accounts and drive key growth initiatives.
  • Integrates brand and channel strategies into initiatives.

Customer Service

  • Works closely with customer service to ensure continuity and seamless service to our customers.

Operating Expenses

  • Manages operating expenses and participates in establishing sales budget for the region.

Forecasting

  • Develops, maintains and updates monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts for volume, mix and pricing.

Business Development

  • Drives business development initiatives throughout the region.
  • Develops strategies to support the development of folding carton converters and their success in the marketplace.
  • Represents the company at trade association shows/meetings to promote product line.
  • Works closely with the Marketing Directors to drive sales strategies and enhance profitability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of sales (paperboard/converter/woodfiber product) experience and 5-10 years of managing sales teams.
  • Travel required approximately 50% to 60% of time including outside working hours and overnight.
  • Deliver regional volume and maximize the mix and profit for the “assigned” volume of tons.
  • Improve customer relationships, maintain well established relationships.
  • Proven ability to Train, Coach, Counsel & Motivate team.
  • Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing business.
  • Serves as the business leader for the designated region of accountability and as a leader within the sales organization.
