Job Description

SUMMARY: Expertise in the injection molding process and a comprehensive understanding of regulations related to selling pharmaceutical and medical products. Will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strong customer relationships, and delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients while adhering to regulatory standards. Extensive travel to engage with customers, identify opportunities, and support business development efforts.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers in the pharmaceutical industry and custom injection molding, understanding their needs, and providing customized injection molding solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the injection molding process, providing technical guidance and support to customers, including assistance with product design, material selection, and production optimization.
  • Stay informed of regulations and standards governing the sale of pharmaceutical products, ensuring that all solutions meet industry requirements and quality standards, including FDA guidelines and ISO certifications.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets, leveraging market insights, and customer feedback to drive growth and expansion in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry, including prospecting, lead generation, and proposal development.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the pharmaceutical sector, informing strategic decision-making and business development efforts.
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and technical documentation to customers, effectively communicating the value proposition of our products and services.
  • Manage key customer accounts, ensure customer satisfaction, resolving issues promptly, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional products and services.
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure the successful execution of customer projects and the delivery of high-quality products on time and within budget.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Travel extensively to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events to engage with customers, conduct product demonstrations, and support sales activities. Travel may involve domestic and international destinations.
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards governing the sale of pharmaceutical products, including FDA guidelines, cGMP requirements, and ISO certifications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills,
  • Ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining successful customer relationships, driving sales growth, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of conducting market research, identifying opportunities, and developing effective sales strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably within the plastics manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of the injection molding process.
