Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative/Account Manager to work in our Wilsonville office. We provide private offices and hybrid work may be possible. We offer all commercial lines of coverage including General Liability, Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, Inland Marine, Workers’ Compensation, Umbrella, Management Liability lines, and Bonds for small and middle market customers in general industries.
The Account Manager will be responsible for working with customers, producers, insurers, partners and other team members to help service existing clients and provide support for new customers on all commercial line coverages. The CSR/Account Manager performs a variety of technical assignments and administrative duties in the areas of maintaining customer files, reviewing insurance documents, insurance plan design, renewal review, coordination of claims, loss control, billing/accounting, premium audit services, negotiate coverage, terms and premium, as well as provide research and analysis on projects as needed. You will set realistic client expectations, seek customer input, and meet service commitments on time-sensitive tasks in a professional manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service in a timely and professional manner.
Issue Certificates of Insurance, Binders, Policies and Endorsements in carrier and agency systems.
Help negotiate coverage, premium and terms for new and renewal accounts.
Work with partner Wholesale Brokers to secure and service policies, endorsements, audits, and billing.
Review policy documents for accuracy and distribution.
Assist in creating and delivering insurance plan proposals, renewals, or summaries for customers.
Maintain organized customer files in Applied Systems and update records regularly.
Assist clients, producers, insurers, and team members with daily email, fax, and phone communication in all areas of policies, endorsements, premium audits, accounting/billing, premium financing, coordination of claims/loss control services.
Attend any required training sessions or Continuing Education courses to maintain up to date skills and licensing requirements.
Primary Skills & Requirements:
Must have a valid Property & Casualty Agent License in Oregon.
BA/BS Degree with at least one year of experience in the field of Property and Casualty insurance preferred. High School graduates with three years’ experience in the field of commercial insurance or other combinations of work and/or education will be considered. Professional Designations are a plus.
Enthusiastic about providing customer service!
General knowledge of major property and casualty coverages, and insurance regulations
Well organized, detail oriented, and good interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong problem -solving capability.
Ability to establish work priorities and manage time effectively.
Maintain professionalism in a demanding environment when under pressure.
Can work independently as well as in a team environment.
Proficient computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Applied Systems, or skills to learn software program at an accelerated pace.
