Heat pumps are a crucial enabler in the transition to clean, renewable electricity. They electrify the most significant load in the home while improving comfort and saving homeowners money. You’ll be joining a team founded by engineers with a deep background in thermal systems, energy systems and aerospace.
The Role
As the first Sales Team Lead at Electric Air, you will lay the groundwork for our sales department, focusing on heat pump solutions for homeowners. Initially operating hands-on with customer interactions and sales processes, you will also have the unique opportunity to shape and build your sales team. Your role will involve a mix of technical knowledge, application, and developing strategic sales approaches, emphasizing understanding customer needs and providing tailored solutions. You will engage with customers primarily through remote communication, supported by occasional site visits and collaboration with our installation teams to enhance your understanding and deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Spearhead the development of Electric Air's sales strategy and customer engagement process for heat pump solutions.
Conduct customer needs assessments, prepare proposals, and close sales with a focus on post-sale customer satisfaction.
Coordinate with our marketing effort to ensure we meet our customer's needs.
Provide feedback to our software engineers developing our automatic quoting software.
Engage in market analysis, strategy formulation, and advocacy efforts within the heat pump and home energy technology sectors.
Prepare to scale by planning and executing the recruitment and training of a dedicated sales team under your leadership.
What You'll Bring
3-5 years of experience in sales, engineering, or a related field, preferably in the HVAC, building services, or renewable energy sectors.
A genuine interest in heat pump technologies and their applications, with a commitment to learning and expertise development.
Strong customer relationship management and communication skills, capable of translating complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Analytical abilities to assess homeowner needs and identify the best solutions.
Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) and a willingness to travel for business needs.
