Food & Beverage Coordinator

Hawksmoor New York opened to rave reviews in 2021 and welcomed guests into our beautiful restaurant, based in a National Historic Landmark, The United Charities Building. We are now excited to commence the search for a Food & Beverage Coordinator who will have an array of responsibilities covering securing small group bookings, responding to guest feedback and assisting with the coordination of private event bookings.

This role will report directly to the Executive General Manager and work closely with the Private Events Sales Manager. They will lead by example and without a doubt, “work hard and be nice to people.”

Duties:

  • Promoting Hawksmoor NYC to the discerning diners of New York City and beyond, in depth understanding of our food and beverage offering.
  • Assisting with all sales and event point of sale material/paper collateral, updating menus, etc.
  • Updating triple seat with small group booking contact information and creation of reservation
  • Liaising with Private Events Sales Manager, Executive General Manager and service managers to communicate small party bookings to ensure details of small bookings is execute at high Hawksmoor standards
  • Liaising with Private Events Sales Manager when inquires can be upsold to private dining rooms and higher minimums spends
  • Assist with creating, editing and printing private dining menus, BEOs, etc.
  • Ensuring Triple Seat is up-to-date and maintained daily on large party bookings and private event sales with contact information and detailed guest notes.

Desired Experience:

  • 2 years’ work experience in restaurants as host, reservations, front desk agent and/ or events coordinator
  • Communicates information effectively and efficiently
  • Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
  • Ability to perform essential job functions under pressure, maintain professionalism when working under stress
  • Maintains general knowledge of NYC restaurant and bar concepts, location, transportation, management team
