We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Access Security technology sales, with proven experience in managing sales processes and developing customer relationships. Sales Manager

Role:

The Sales Manager (SLM) will provide overall direction and leadership of the sales department. This includes supervising inside & outside sales representatives, sales engineers and customer service representatives along with the evaluation of their responsibilities. This role is key to the continuity and success of company operations and comes with a level of P&L responsibility. Performance will be measured on the ability to reach Com-Tech sales goals. Leadership is required of this role to steward the team while making incremental improvements to processes. Team members reporting to this position will require regular coaching and feedback for personal and professional growth.

This position has three main areas of management, with subsets in each of the 3 categories. The area of management is . This is the products & services sold by Com-Tech. It will require working with the leadership team to determine marketing strategies, presentation strategies, product strategies and staying on the leading edge of technology.

The area is management. The SLM is ultimately responsible for ensuring that project work is estimated correctly so that profitability targets are met. Components that affect this are primarily the cost of material and labor, correctly calculating the amount of labor needed to install and manage products and services, setting accurate expectations and deliverables with the client. The SLM will also prepare sales forecasts that will offer guidance on the future growth of the organization. The SLM will meet with senior leadership to review the P&L to ensure its meeting company goals and course correct as necessary.

The area is management. This is the most important component and a smart investment here will have positive impacts for the department and financial components. Responsible will extend to coaching and mentoring the employee’s that report to the SLM to affect positive work results. When corrective action is necessary, it should be proactively applied to avoid liability for the employee, company or client.

The SLM must balance his/her time amongst these facets of the department. Much of this is the subjective determination of the SLM and he/she will be given the latitude to decide how and when work takes place.

Ensuring that our customer is satisfied is mission critical. Com-Tech employees are expected to represent the company well by performing tasks and carrying out relationships with Integrity, Efficiency and Excellence. The SLM will be asked for areas of improvement in process or personnel. As the company develops, it can be expected that better ways of completing tasks will be identified. These improvements should be highlighted, examined, tested and finally, implemented if worthy.

Responsibilities:

● Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.

● Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and maximize revenue.

● Sales Performance Management: Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective strategies to increase sales.

● Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients to understand their needs and ensure customer satisfaction.

● Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and adaptation.

● Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing coaching to sales team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. This includes regular performance reviews with employees reporting to this position.

● Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales department budget, including forecasting and cost control measures.

● Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure alignment and support in achieving sales objectives.

● Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports and present findings to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

● Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all sales activities.

● Other duties as assigned by Com-Tech Management.

Communicates With:

The SLM will communicate with many different internal personnel. On the sales side of the business these include Sales Representatives (SR), Sales Engineers (SE) and Client Success Representatives (CSR). On the operations side these include Operations personnel and members of the executive team. External communication will be with, but not limited to, clients, stakeholders of organizations Com-Tech looks to do business with, suppliers & manufacturer’s representatives, marketing firms, networking groups and recruiters. Communication to all parties is expected to take place in a timely manner that doesn’t keep others waiting. It is also expected that all communication will be in a professional manner and effectively stated to avoid confusion and minimize requests for clarification or additional information.

Reports To:

This position reports to the . The SLM will regularly report to the Chief Executive Officer. Frequency and format will be determined by the CEO. The CEO may at times coach, provide feedback or correct the Sales Manager’s actions or behavior as necessary to ensure proper management of projects. The Sales Manager and CEO shall discuss ways to improve processes and performance of the organization.

Skill Requirements & Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

● Proven experience in sales management, with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

● Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and empower team members.

● Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.

● Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

● Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.

● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on results.

● Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.

● Willingness to travel as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
