Flood and Peterson is looking for a Private Client Account Manager to join our growing Personal Lines team!

The Private Client Account Manager will be responsible for servicing, retaining and rounding a book of personal lines business consisting of high net worth clients. This position will interact extensively with clients and carriers. This is a client facing position requiring a professional appearance and professional verbal and communication skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day client service by anticipating client needs and responding to client questions and issues in a timely manner
  • Read and interpret insurance policies to answer coverage questions
  • Gather and analyze information needed to provide appropriate solutions to problems; implement or recommend appropriate actions; know when to seek additional information and/or assistance
  • Complete review of all policies for assigned clients at renewal including recommendations; identify cross-selling opportunities during reviews; prepare account summaries for VIP accounts based on review and recommendations
  • Prepare applications, perform remarkets, review quotes & policy forms for accurate coverage comparison, create proposals and issue policies (through bind orders or carrier websites)
  • Perform client renewal meetings including presentation
  • Perform general insurance tasks which may include invoicing, certificates, auto ID cards, proof of property, and endorsements
  • Convey ideas clearly in both written and verbal form to internal and external clients
  • Responsible for collection of premium and maintaining account receivables on all assigned accounts
  • Responsible for integrity of policy data and documentation in Agency Management Systems
  • Comply with and follow company workflow procedures and guidelines
  • Meet with clients and insurance company representatives

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities, but is expected to mentor new team members and lower level positions. Inform Supervisor/Manager of all matters that may give rise to an E&O claim

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INFORMATION

At Flood and Peterson all full time employees are eligible for benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and paid Volunteer Time Off. Full time employees are also eligible to participate in our 401k program, which includes both safe harbor and discretionary matching. We also offer several other voluntary insurance programs including expanded Life, Disability, Accident, Critical Illness/Event, and legal services. In addition to regular pay, this position is eligible to participate in our annual performance incentive program.

Starting pay for non-exempt position is $30.00 -$35.00/hour . Pay may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess and maintain a Colorado Property & Casualty Producer License
  • 5+ years of personal lines high net worth insurance experience
  • Has experience and familiarity with high net worth insurance carrier systems and appetites

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

This position requires use of the following software or applications:

Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Internet, Email, Database, Order Processing, Presentations and Accounting

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (if applicable)

  • Possess and maintain a Colorado Property & Casualty Producer License
  • Must possess or is actively pursuing industry designation of CISR or equivalent
  • Requires current Colorado driver’s license and acceptable MVR

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to reach with hands and arms under 1/3 of the time
  • Must be able to stand or walk 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
  • Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk or hear, sit over 2/3 of the time
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. less than 1/3 of the time
  • Work environment while in the office is moderate noise (examples: business office with computers and printers, moderate traffic)
