Norelco Cabinets Ltd., is a locally owned and operated cabinet manufacturing company celebrating over 51 years in Kelowna. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to oversee our award winning Sales and Design teams.

With regard to leading the sales team, the Sales Manager will:

  • Create and maintain a healthy, high-performance, pro-sales culture, ensuring sales targets are met and exceeded.
  • Meet regularly with reps for coaching, direction and development.
  • Work alongside (in the field and/or office as appropriate) with team members for the purpose of observing, coaching, and providing feedback to reps, and to meet key personnel at important customers.
  • Set and monitor progress against sales goals.
  • Maintain a results focus and regularly review results against goal with members of the
  • sales team.
  • Be responsible for the health of the corporate sales pipeline and ensure that the sales
  • team is creating and advancing sales opportunities as necessary to achieve revenue goals.
  • Lead regular sales team meetings.
  • Manage and maintain sales budgets and expenses.

With regard to managing sales talent, the Sales Manager will:

  • Support, encourage and challenge top-producers, and ensure that high-performing salespeople are happy and supported.
  • Quickly identify under-performing reps and coach them.
  • As directed, invest time and energy recruiting and interviewing potential new hires for sales roles.

With regard to sales process, the Sales Manager will:

  • Ensure that each rep has a strategic list of target accounts to pursue for new business.
  • Ensure that each rep is armed with the necessary sales weapons to successfully execute the sales attack.

o Can tell the Norelco story and articulate the value we deliver.

o Can secure meetings with key contacts at target accounts.

o Can conduct effective consultative/discovery sales calls.

o Can lead a presentation and draft proposals that win deals.

  • Ensure that each rep blocks sufficient time for proactive new business development (as opposed to living in reactive mode continually waiting for leads and opportunities).
  • Ensure that each rep is building a healthy pipeline of sales opportunities.
  • Ensure each rep has personal key activity metrics defined and monitors actual activity against those metrics.

In addition to highest-value sale management activities listed above, the Sales Manager will:

  • Manage the Sales Showroom with a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
  • Lead deal strategy and brainstorm sessions.
  • Resolve account conflicts.
  • Distribute leads and training new hires to the sales team.
  • Approve quotes of certain size.
  • Help with product development.
  • Serve as a liaison between sales and marketing and participate in appropriate corporate meetings networking events, trade shows and any sales events as requested by the President.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years plus of experience as a Sales Manager within the cabinet industry.
  • Ability to read and understand design documents and blueprints.
  • Understanding of custom kitchen design fundamentals.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, ability to manage processes and measure results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Desire to actively problem solve and think creatively to improve processes and complete tasks.
  • High attention to detail, organization and quality.
  • Ability to understand and act on client’s needs.
  • Understanding of project flow, timelines and project management.
  • Effective time management skills and self-motivation.
  • Committed to continual learning on products, procedures and more.
  • Strong sales and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve monthly goals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
