About the Role:

Southern Lumber is an 80+ year old family business that supplies building materials, windows and doors, and custom millwork to home builders around Charleston.

Learn about our products and operations while helping customers with their orders.

Specialty salesmen help walk in customers (mostly homeowners) who need to place special item orders with vendors of products we don't sell on the yard. You'll be working with customers, vendors, and our receiving and shipping teams.

Counter salesmen help walk in customers (mostly contractors) who mostly know what they need, and it is stocked on the yard. You'll be accepting payments, writing orders, processing returns, and setting up deliveries.

Both of these roles can and often times lead to coordinator positions. These inside salesmen assist our outside salesmen in placing orders for builders. By working at the counter or as a specialty salesmen, you'll be building skills to create a strong lumber sales career with Southern Lumber.

Hours are7am-5pm, Monday-Friday-so you can enjoy your nights and weekends!

Your Experience.

Experience in the industry-- great; lumber, home building, hardware, retail, etc.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
