Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialty Pharmacy Account Manager / Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers and managing patient care to ensure optimal outcomes. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving the lives of patients.
Responsibilities:
Account Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and clinic staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and providing ongoing support.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely and accurate processing of prescription orders.
- Conduct regular visits to healthcare facilities to provide product education and promote our services.
- Identify opportunities to expand business partnerships and increase prescription volume.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Assist with insurance verification, claims processing, and billing procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and resolving issues promptly
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Patient Care Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the intake and onboarding process for new patients, including verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary medical documentation.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers.
- Provide ongoing support and education to patients and caregivers regarding medication therapy, adherence, and side effect management.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate with healthcare providers to optimize treatment plans.
- Facilitate access to financial assistance programs and other support services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in specialty pharmacy operations required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Knowledge of specialty medications, disease states, and insurance reimbursement processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy management software (e.g., CPR+, Therigy) is a plus.
