As manager of our business operations group you will partner closely with sales, operations, finance and other cross functional teams to analyze daily/weekly business performance, understand market dynamics, provide insights on this performance, find opportunities and drive actions to growth multi-billion dollar business at the largest Consumer Electronics retailers in the US. You will not only lead the preparation of weekly reviews/materials for consumer sales review with leadership but also look at long term opportunities and drive post-mortem/findings from events, promotions and market actions. You will set quotas for the sales team and partner incentive programs in partnership with finance and measure performance against the targets. You will be responsible for driving special projects cross functionally that impact our business in the short and long term. Key Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience leading business planning, operations, finance, strategy, analytics and/or sales operations, including 5+ yeas in a leadership role.
  • Experience in key US retail channel related roles for 5+ years
  • Strong verbal and written, summarizing and cause and effect story telling skills
  • Strong insight experience including digital in complex consumer electronic retailer, ideally with deep familiarity with the retail, online channel in computers, tablets, wearable, phone etc.
  • Experience with leading and running effective sales processes including weekly and quarterly business reviews
  • Deep understanding of the role of varied analytical methodologies and how they can be applied through standard process in a consumer environment.
  • High level of numeracy and data management capabilities, with experience in telling story from large data sets. Tableau desktop and Python/R experience a plus.
  • Strong excel and presentation-building skills (e.g. Keynote) with ability to simplify complex ideas and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strength in managing complex cross-functional initiative.

Description

- Lead consumer business performance analysis - identifying variances, defining causes, specifying potential actions and their impact. Understand and show impact of market, macro and competition on business performance over various time periods. - Lead perspective on key trends impacting sales (competitive behavior, consumer behavior, sales performance by region, etc.). Understand implications of current and potential macro trends/events, and action plans. - Lead and deliver key components of weekly sales discussions with company leadership. - Lead weekly/quarterly business performance reviews and support forecast calls, quarterly business deep dives,, new product launch for consumer business. - Lead quota setting process for sales team and partner incentive programs in partnership with finance, monitor performance against targets and review results with leadership - Engage in allocation and supply analytics by collaborating with supply chain, finance, and sales teams. Collaborate with cross functional teams to support evaluation of inventory needs based on forecast and demand assumptions. - Partner with sales leadership and cross functional team for driving sales cadence and gathering insights for all new product launches. - Drive enhancements of existing tools and development of new sales tools to manage and grow business performance

Education & Experience

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Economics, Finance, Business management or, analogous functional experience, appropriate industry familiarity.

Pay & Benefits
    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,400.00 and $264,100.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
