Currently, we are seeking an experienced Inventory / Shipping & Receiving Associate for our manufacturing client in Golden, near 44th and Ward Road. This is a dual role in which your primary function will be inventory control, however you'll be assisting with shipping and receiving as well when/as needed. Our client specializes in manufacturing electronic components and this is a temp to hire opportunity.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm, with overtime if/as needed

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr

Summary: This is a dual role that is responsible for ensuring all inventory components are controlled and issued to work orders appropriately and responsible for working with the Shipping/Receiving Operator as workload demands or when the individual is gone. Responsible for receiving inbound shipments and packaging/labeling all outbound shipments in a manner that will preclude handling/shipping damage upon arrival at the desired destination.

Inventory Control Essential Functions and Duties:

Control both customer-supplied (consigned) and purchased raw materials.
Receive incoming components from Shipping/Receiving and stock in appropriate location.
Identify components and the correct stocking location for each component.
Kit parts for workorders by gathering the correct quantities of components used in the assembly build cycle as dictated by the workorder Bill of Material.
Identify and report any shortages on BoM derived from the kitting cycle. Work with account management personnel to update and maintain a shortage list.
Maintain shortage rack. Completing kits, changing date (if necessary), and moving to the kitted rack (to be assembled).
Satisfy kitting requirements that range from bulk to individual quantities.
Maintain expertise in kitting and labeling techniques.
Have familiarity with stockroom activities.
Have experience with Word, Excel, and an inventory database (EVO-ERP)
Work closely with the Production Manager, assisting in production driven projects as requested.
Set kitting priorities with Chief Operating Officer.
Maintain familiarity with electronic components e.g. AWG standards.
Review discrepancies/questions regarding the master BOM and product specifications. Work to provide/collect clarification as needed with production management and if necessary, consultation with account manager(s) and the customer.
Work closely with wire cutting personnel.
Know your parts by looking at production pictures.

Backup Shipping/Receiving Operator Essential Functions and Duties:

Receive and record all components
Verification of incoming components upon receipt. Ensuring that the product delivered is what was ordered against the PO and initiating a non-conformance report for discrepancies.
Familiarity with packaging requirements that range from bulk to individual quantities.
Properly palletizing large shipments of products to ensure finished goods aren’t damaged in transit. Ensuring serial numbers are closely managed and are sent with the correct shipment.
Expertise in proper packaging and labeling techniques.
Familiarity with stockroom activities.
Computer literate with Word and Excel.
Experience with inventory database (EVO-ERP) preferred.
Will use UPS and FedEx software utilization for shipping products.
Work closely with Production Manager and Test & Quality Control personnel and is able assist in production driven projects.
Set shipping priorities with Account Managers and Production Manager.
Properly trained in using the forklifts and following all safety precautions in doing so.

Other Duties:

Responsible for sweeping floor under and around your workstation, emptying personal trash can into a large production floor trash bin, and cleaning surface of workstation daily.
Responsible for thorough cleaning of workstation (including overhead lights) on a monthly basis.
Responsible for cleaning any specialty production area after your use of that area. This includes tinning stations, heat shrink cutting area, heat shrink tunnel, crimp machine area, welding stations, cutting station, testing stations and label machines.
Following all related SOPs as required by the associated training matrix for your job title and description.
Follow the Quality Policy.
Follow directives communicated from management through the organization as it relates to your job title and description.
Other ancillary responsibilities as requested.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills Required:

Must have 1-2 years of warehouse experience specifically with inventory control, shipping, and receiving
Experience using UPS and FedEx systems highly preferred
Must have good computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs multiple times a day.
Ability to bend, twist, walk, and stand for entire shift
